Q. Does our family have to be members at Heritage Baptist Church in order for my child(ren) to attend HCA?
A. No, but if you're looking for a great church, we have a recommendation for you.

Q. If our family does not attend any church, can our child(ren) still attend HCA?
A. We do not have a church attendance requirement for our families. However, we have learned from past experience that students who attend a church of like faith are more likely to thrive at HCA.

Q. How much does it cost to attend Heritage Christian Academy?
A. While we hope that cost is not your only consideration, we do understand that it is an important one. Tuition is $400 a month for those going all day and $300 for those pre-schoolers attending half-day. Tuition is due the 5th of each month August-May. There is a $150 enrollment fee each year that is non-refundable. There is a $250 book fee due by July 5th or upon enrollment. Sports fees may also apply. 

Q. How do I pay tuition?
A. All financial transactions are handled through TADS.

Q. Am I required to use TADS for my financial transactions?
A. Yes.

Q. Why is HCA so affordable when compared with other private schools in the area?
A. HCA exists as a ministry of Heritage Baptist Church, and our sponsoring church is committed to keeping Christian education affordable. Each year, Heritage Baptist Church invests tens of thousands of dollars in Heritage Christian Academy which allows us to keep tuition affordable. With the help of our sponsoring church, we are able to provide a quality, Christian education that won't break the bank.

Q. What does HCA use for textbooks?
A. HCA primarily uses A Beka Book at all levels. A Beka Book has proven to be a leader in textbook publishing for more than three decades. HCA students are challenged by the rigor of the A Beka program, and as a result of the program, they will most certainly be prepared for further academic pursuits.

Q. Does HCA have a uniform dress code?
A. Yes, and we provide that information to you during the application process.

Q. Will my student be required to take any entrance tests before being accepted at HCA?
A. Yes, if your student is applying to enroll for grades K-12. The pre-admission test will be scheduled after your family tours our campus and completes the initial application packet.

Q. How old does/do my child(ren) need to be in order to attend Pre-kindergarten and/or Kindergarten?
A. Students enrolling in K3 must be three years old by September 1st. Students enrolling in K4 must be four years old by September 1, and students enrolling in Kindergarten must be five years old by September 1.

Q. What are HCA's hours?
A. The HCA school day runs from 8:30a-3:30p.

Q. Can I enroll a student now?
A. Enrollment for the upcoming school year opens to the public during the third week of February. If you are inquiring about the current school year, enrollment is available but contingent upon the current class size. We also want to be certain that a student enrolling after a school year has already begun will be successful in our school.
