• Q. Does our family have to be members at Heritage Baptist Church in order for my child(ren) to attend HCA?
    A. No, our student body is made up of families that attend many churches in the area. However, if you're looking for a great church, we would certainly recommend that you visit Heritage Baptist Church!

  • Q. Is HCA an accredited school?
    A. Yes, as of June 2022, HCA is accredited by the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). Our teachers, facilities, curriculum, scope and sequences, and processes are all influenced by the recommendations of the AACS. Our teaching staff is appropriately certified and continuing in their education as required by the AACS. This is a GREAT benefit to you!

  • Q. I am interested, how can I get a tour and an/or interview?
    A. We would love to give your family a tour, but we need to keep our campus safe first. The first step is to submit questions you have and then apply online. Once we have a completed application, we will review it and reach out to you for an interview & tour.

  • Q. Will my child be ready for “the real world” if I shelter or “indoctrinate” my child in a Christian school environment like HCA?
    A. Romans 16:19 says, “…I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil”. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

  • Q. How do I pay tuition?
    A. All financial transactions are handled through FACTS, an online payment portal.

  • Q. Why is HCA so affordable when compared with other private schools in the area?
    A. HCA exists as a ministry of Heritage Baptist Church, and our sponsoring church is committed to keeping Christian education affordable by allowing HCA to use church facilities. With the help of our sponsoring church, we are able to provide a quality, Christian education that won't break the bank.

  • Q. Does HCA offer any scholarships or individual tuition assistance?
    A. HCA is not funded publicly, but it is financially strong due to the help of Heritage Baptist Church, which helps to significantly lowers the cost of tuition. As for individual scholarships and tuition assistance, we do not offer any at this time.

  • Q. What does HCA use for textbooks?
    A. HCA uses Abeka as their primary textbook provider. We also use BJU Press, Ramsey Solutions (Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace program for HS students), Answers in Genesis (for Bible classes at all levels), and Saxon Math in some of our high school classes.

  • Q. Where can I get details on school schedule, academic guides, dress code, immunizations, standardized testing, disciplinary system, safety, and more?
    A. Many questions like this and much more will be found by reading through the school’s student handbook which is found on the downloads and links page.

  • Q. Does HCA have a dress code?
    A. Yes, and we provide that information to you during the application process. Please view the current Student Handbook in the download and links page for specifics in many areas like this.

  • Q. Will my student be required to take any entrance tests before being accepted at HCA?
    A. Yes, if your student is applying to enroll for grades 1-12. The pre-admission test will be scheduled after your family completes the initial application packet and tours our campus.

  • Q. How old does a student need to be in order to attend K4 or Kindergarten?
    A. Students enrolling in K4 must be four years old by September 1. Students enrolling in K5 must be five years old by September 1.

  • Q. What are HCA's hours?
    A. The HCA school day runs from 8:30am-3:45pm. Before school care is available beginning at 7:30am at no cost. Dismissal is 3:45-4:00pm. After school care has limited availability, and there is a cost to the families who need it.
